High Performance Light Microscopy Workshop PDF Print E-mail
ImageBack by popular demand! During the Spring semester, the Department of Biology will offer a 6-day workshop in Light Microscopy and the Living Cell.  This workshop will be under the direction of Dr. Richard I. Woodruff. Current plans call for Tuesday and Thursday evening sessions 4:00-6:00 PM March 29-April12 and a full day on Saturday, April 14.  Saturday’s session will be exclusively devoted to hands-on training.

This will be a full hands-on workshop offering theoretical and practical instruction and practice in most types of advanced light microscopy, access to the Department of Biology Light Microscopy lab, and the opportunity to compile a portfolio of micrographs demonstrating acquired skills. Because this is a professional level workshop, there will be no tests nor exams.  Students who must miss a session due to a class conflict that afternoon should be able to easily acquire missed information. Cost of $10 will cover materials. Enrollment will be limited to 12 students on a first-come basis.
