The Department of Biology offers a minor in biology.
The biology minor requirements are:

As a prerequisite for entry into the minor:
BIO
110, General Biology (must be passed with a C- or better), or BIO 100,
Basic Biological Science (must be passed with a grade of A- or better).
BIO 215, General Botany or BIO 217, General Zoology (must be passed with a C- or better).

After
fullfillment of the above prerequisite requirements, at least 15
additional biology elective credits, for which the student has the
appropriate prerequisites, will be selected under advisement with the
minor advisor. These courses will be at the 200 level or higher, and at
least 8 of the15 elective credits must be in addition to the biology
courses required by the student's major department. Courses which are
not acceptable for biology major credit, such as BIO 204, 259, 269 and
307, may be counted towards the minor only if the student receives a
grade of C- or better in the course. Courses labeled SCB do not count
towards the minor.

BIO 199 transfer credits
will be evaluated on a course by course basis by the biology minor
advisors. West Chester University standards for the minimum percentage
of coursework that must be completed here will be followed.

A minimum of 18 credits at the 200 level or higher must be taken for a minor in biology.

To
graduate with a biology minor, students must maintain a GPA of 2.00 in
the minor courses, and they must meet with the minor advisor at least
once per semester.
