New BioFaculty: Fall 2007

We welcome Dr. Erin Gestl as an assistant professor in the Department of Biology. Dr. Gestl's PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology is from the Pennsylvania State University Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Gestl also holds a BS in molecular and cell biology from Penn State. His doctoral thesis is entitled Development of in vivo Assays to Detect Mutations in Transgenic Zebrafish. He conducted postdoctoral research in the Gittlen Cancer Institute Department of Pathology. In 2005 and 2006, Dr. Gestl served as an adjunct professor in the WCU Department of Biology. He has several publications to his credit.
