Conservation International’s Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund has awarded a grant to Gerard Hertel in the Department of Biology to do research in the Eastern Arc Mountains and Coastal Forests biodiversity hotspot in Kenya and Tanzania in 2006. |

University on June 18, 2005. The event is cosponsored by American
Entomological Society, PA Bureau of Forrestry, and the Department of

Congratulations to Michelle Wentz (Biology Major) on
receiving an Honorable Mention by the CAS selection committee. Michelle
will be honored, along with other CAS students, at the CAS Student
Recognition Ceremony, on Wednesday, April 27, at 4 p.m., in Philips
Autograph Library. Michelle will also represent WCU as the Biology Department's nominee
for the 2005 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania University Biologists’
Outstanding Student of the Year. |
